For her pieces, Hannah used images from magazines, newspapers and other printed media, that way creating

collage

which had been introduced by the Cubists.

Dadaists

set out to turn our world upside down, to make it seem

crazy and absurd.

They meant for us to rethink the items that surround us so that we might

think differently about our world.

She also used

photomontage

which is the process of making an image by cutting, gluing, rearranging and overlapping two or more photographs into a

new image.
